My Top Priorities

As a parent with a child in the Wake County public school system and a sister who teaches in the district, I have a deep, personal understanding of the challenges our schools face. North Carolina’s public schools are at the heart of our community, yet they are too often underfunded and overburdened.

I am committed to:

• Advocating for Increased Funding: Pushing for comprehensive legislation to increase teacher pay, lower ratios of support staff to students, and provide educators with the tools they need to succeed.
• Working for Parents and Students: Supporting policies that uplift families and students so that all children can thrive in North Carolina schools.

North Carolina's progress depends on addressing the core issue of political misrepresentation. Partisan gerrymandering and partisan judicial elections distort the will of the people and create significant barriers to progress.

I will:

• Advocate for Independent Redistricting: Support the establishment of an independent, non-partisan commission to draw fair electoral maps that restore trust and equity in our democratic processes.
• Fight for the Independence of our Courts: Work to restore nonpartisan judicial elections for North Carolina.

At the core of my candidacy is a commitment to policies that safeguard the future for our children. The challenges we face today—environmental degradation, inequitable access to resources, and insufficient investment in public services—will be the burdens of tomorrow’s generations if we fail to act now.

With this in mind, I am dedicated to:

• Environmental Stewardship: Advocating for clean water, air, and sustainable practices that protect North Carolina’s natural beauty and resources.
• Economic Leadership: Positioning North Carolina as a leader in clean energy innovation and job creation.
